May

Well Blogger changed a little and navigating has been a nightmare for someone who doesn't know much about this type of thing.  And that, on top of some major issues with organizing pictures on the computer means that this quick update will be a small one.  I will add more later when I have time!

So here are just a few pictures of happenings in the Fuller family and some things I have learned this month...

Read on!

We had the pleasure of taking Linea to the zoo for the first time to support our friend Stacy who was raising money for the arthritis foundation.  We participated in the arthritis walk and got to see the animals along the way.  Linea enjoyed it, but at times seemed more interested in her snacks!  No wonder we have such a chubby baby!

Here is Stacy's group of supporters:

At the finish line!

I love how little children enjoy finding nooks and crannies to sit in.  I had moved everything from the living room to to a corner so I could vaccuum and Linea thought this looked like a nice place to sit and read. :)

Linea loves this purse of mine because it is little.  Of course I did not teach her what to do with it.  How do girls just know how to be girlie?
I love her fascination with books - here she is reading with her daddy.

I found these in a folder labeled "baby Mel."  We hadn't planned to find out the baby's gender with that pregnancy, so we were calling him/her Mel because it can be short for both boys and girls names.  Never got to share this "baby bump" picture.  It is our only record of Mel's existance here on Earth...  I am not sure what happened to the month 1 picture.

We still hope Linea will have a little sibling here on  Earth soon.  But while this was the most difficult experience I've ever had to go through, I have to be honest in saying that in the last month God has taught me so much.  I heard the song "Blessings" by Laura Story on the radio about a week ago and it brought me to tears because it speaks so much to how I now look at our loss. (I put the lyrics below).  At first I was asking God why but after a lot of prayer and seeking His peace through this, I found I was actually able to thank Him for allowing this in our lives.  For the first time in my life, I understand what James wrote in his book, "Consider it pure joy when you face trials of many kinds..." (James 1:2)  God has taught me to love Him more, trust Him more, and most importantly, to long for heaven more.  If you know Jesus as your Savior, you know that this crazy, broken world is not your home.  Heaven is our true home.  Praise the Lord for what He has taught me and for the promise of eternity with Him for all who confess Him as Lord!

Blessings by Laura Story

We pray for blessings
We pray for peace
Comfort for family, protection while we sleep
We pray for healing, for prosperity
We pray for Your mighty hand to ease our suffering
All the while, You hear each spoken need
Yet love us way too much to give us lesser things

'Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You're near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

We pray for wisdom
Your voice to hear
And we cry in anger when we cannot feel You near
We doubt Your goodness, we doubt Your love
As if every promise from Your Word is not enough
All the while, You hear each desperate plea
And long that we have faith to believe

'Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You're near
And what if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

When friends betray us
When darkness seems to win
We know that pain reminds this heart
That this is not, this is not our home
It's not our home

'Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
And what if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You're near
What if my greatest disappointments
Or the achings of this life
Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can't satisfy
And what if trials of this life
The rain, the storms, the hardest nights
Are Your mercies in disguise
