Baby Fuller 3
Some of you may know and others weren't informed yet that as of Monday of this week, I reached 15 weeks of pregnancy with Baby Fuller #3. Things were looking good with the baby but the radiologist had found a pool of blood in the uterus which was cause for concern. I was put on modified bed rest at the beginning of August - very difficult with Linea! I went in Monday morning for a routine appointment where the doctor had trouble finding the baby's heartbeat. An emergency ultrasound later that afternoon showed that the baby was measuring just 13 1/2 weeks and the heartbeat had stopped. In light of what happened in April with baby Mel, we were devastated. Because the baby had grown passed 13 weeks, a routine D&C was too risky. I was admitted to the hospital family birth center and was induced in order to deliver the baby. Ben and I got to the hospital around 3 Monday afternoon. At 1:00 Tuesday morning, the baby was delivered. As difficult as it was to see our precious little one lying there, we were thankful for the opportunity to have some time alone and to pray for peace and thank the Lord that we know this baby is in heaven with his or her sibling. We have chosen to name the baby Micah and anticipate a joyous reunion with Micah and Mel when we one day get the privilege of entering heaven to be with our Savior. Please pray for peace and joy in our hearts and for direction for the future as there will need to be some testing done to see why these late term miscarriages are occurring. We appreciate the love and concern already expressed by so many family members and friends and are thankful to the Lord for each of you. We know our hope in Him will be what sustains us in the days to come.

We feel your pain. I get a bit of comfort thinking of Micah and Mel playing with our son Moses. Praying for you very much today.

Oh Joni, I am so, so sorry for your loss. We experienced a miscarriage about 4 years ago and I too look forward to the day I can meet my baby in Heaven! We are praying for you, that you experience His peace and healing, and are able to see how He will enable you to use these experiences to glorify Him in your life.
